The figs produced in the Jerte Valle are harvested for fresh market or to be sold, dried. They are sun dried in a traditional way by the farmers themselves. Always rigorous and strict controls to control and guarantee food safety.
The main line of commercialization of dried figs is made in 250 gr and 500 gr bags.
The main varieties collected at Jerte Valley and Vera are Granillo and Cuello Dama.
The total production of figs, including those destined for processing, is over 800,000 kg.
